Project Objectives

Capture the durability, functionality, and travel essence of the Airback Backpack in one of the most extreme and visually striking environments in Europe — the Lofoten.

The goal was to position the product beyond a standard backpack, showcasing it as a reliable companion for high-intensity travel, adventure, and harsh conditions.

Project Scope

Creative Direction

Develop a cinematic narrative focused on:

  • resilience in extreme environments

  • minimalism and mobility while traveling

  • the contrast between human movement and raw nature

Position the backpack within a real-world stress test, rather than staged product visuals.

Production

Execute a 3-day expedition shoot with a 2-person team, operating in highly challenging winter conditions.

Travel across:

  • snow-covered mountain landscapes

  • exposed coastal areas

  • remote locations under heavy weather conditions

Capture:

  • cinematic travel sequences in motion

  • environmental interaction with the product

  • large-scale landscapes to emphasize isolation and scale

Equipment:

  • Sony FX3

  • 24–70mm G Master

  • DJI RS2 Pro gimbal

  • Cinematic drone for large-scale aerial perspectives

Operate in ice-cold temperatures, winter storms, and unpredictable weather, requiring adaptability and efficient execution.

Post-Production

Edit the content into a cinematic narrative emphasizing:

  • atmosphere and mood

  • scale and isolation

  • authenticity of the environment

Use color grading to enhance cold tones, textures, and contrast, creating a raw and immersive visual identity.

Optimize content for both brand storytelling and social media performance.

Results
